Why become a Friend?
The Institute helps to bridge the divides that inevitably arise in a thriving democracy. We bring Members of Congress together to develop friendships and working relationships, both publicly and off-the-record.
We honor political courage and conscience, those who step out in faith across the aisle. Most Members did not seek election to deepen divides, but to find solutions. However, the system constantly seeks to heighten contrasts that can destroy the best intentions. In this environment, we try and help Members “hold on to a piece of their soul.”
How do we make an impact?
The Institute hosts the Capitol Hill community in a variety of settings: small reflection groups, Members’ bipartisan dinners, Chiefs of Staff dialogues, retreats, public forums, pilgrimages and individual ministry. We also honor companies, lobbyists, unions and others who seek a philanthropic and bipartisan approach. We particularly honor those whose faith has led them to constructive efforts.
Why are we different?
Because you can personally fund specific events that bridge Washington’s divides. However small your contribution, your name will be honored at an event you support. You can become part of the solution.
